Concepcion Negrillo Rivera was born on May 14, 1941, at 7 Adelantado Street, Seville, Spain. She was named after her grandmother Conchita and her sister. Her early years were shaped by family stories, post-war memories, faith, work, and the traditions of Andalusia.
From a young age, Concepcion learned the value of responsibility. She loved writing and school, but life required her to help her family early. She worked as a seamstress and later entered a textile factory, where she became a weaver. Over time, she became many things: a driver, translator, antique dealer, investor, businesswoman, caregiver, and writer.
Her life changed when she married and moved from Spain to England. There, she faced the challenge of adapting to a new country, building a family, working, caring for loved ones, and discovering her own strength.
Today, Concepcion writes not only to remember but to share. Her story is a testimony of resilience, love, faith, and the belief that it is never too late to begin again.
Concepcion Negrillo Rivera nació el 14 de mayo de 1941, en la calle Adelantado número 7, Sevilla, España. Recibió su nombre por su abuela Conchita y por su hermana. Sus primeros años estuvieron marcados por historias familiares, recuerdos de la posguerra, la fe, el trabajo y las tradiciones de Andalucía.
Desde pequeña, Concepcion aprendió el valor de la responsabilidad. Le gustaba escribir e ir al colegio, pero la vida la llevó a ayudar a su familia desde muy joven. Trabajó cosiendo y más tarde entró en una fábrica de tejidos, donde fue tejedora. Con el tiempo, llegó a ser muchas cosas: conductora, traductora, antiquaria, inversora, empresaria, cuidadora y escritora.
Su vida cambió cuando se casó y se mudó de España a Inglaterra. Allí enfrentó el reto de adaptarse a un nuevo país, formar una familia, trabajar, cuidar de sus seres queridos y descubrir su propia fortaleza.
Hoy, Concepcion escribe no solo para recordar, sino para compartir. Su historia es un testimonio de superación, amor, fe y de la certeza de que nunca es tarde para empezar de nuevo.
